Get the home camera-ready.

Fifteen focused minutes per room is the difference between good and cinematic. This is the exact list we wish every home had done — nothing here requires spending money.

Best done the evening before; the crew arrives ready to shoot, not to tidy.

Whole home

  • Every light working, and every bulb the same warmth (swap the odd cool-white ones — it's the #1 fix)
  • Blinds and shades level: all up, or all halfway — consistent per room
  • Personal photos and name items down if privacy matters to you (they read fine on camera otherwise)
  • Pet gear, bowls, beds, and litter out of sight; pets with a neighbor during the shoot
  • Cords, chargers, and remotes in a drawer

Kitchen

  • Counters clear except 2–3 styled items (bowl of fruit, board, one appliance max)
  • Fridge face naked — no magnets, art, or calendars
  • Sink empty and dry; dish towels folded or gone
  • Trash and step-cans out of the room

Bedrooms & baths

  • Beds hotel-made — pulled tight, pillows chopped; best linens on the primary
  • Nightstands down to a lamp and one object
  • Bathroom counters completely clear; toilet lids down; fresh towels folded in thirds
  • Shower glass squeegeed; personal products in a caddy under the sink

Exterior (we shoot at dusk — this matters most)

  • Cars out of the driveway and off the front curb
  • Bins, hoses, and yard tools in the garage
  • Lawn cut and edges trimmed within 2 days of the shoot
  • Porch swept, doormat straight, seasonal decor light
  • All exterior + landscape lights working — the dusk shot runs on them

Shoot day

  • · Interior lights ON in every room before we arrive
  • · HVAC set comfortable (open-house temperature)
  • · 15 minutes for a walkthrough with us before the first frame
  • · Plan for the crew to be on site 2–4 hours depending on package

Don't worry about

  • · Vacant rooms — that's what AI staging is for (labeled, originals kept)
  • · Weather — interiors shoot rain or shine; we split the exterior to another evening free if needed
  • · Small wall scuffs and outlet covers — retouching handles the minor stuff honestly
